These assessment sessions typically take 30-60 minutes but the time can vary greatly depending on a client’s needs and abilities. Treatment sessions are tailored to your family’s needs and utilize evidence-based practices based on assessment results. Treatment sessions are typically once or twice weekly for 30-60 minutes. Parents can expect to sit in on sessions with their children to provide valuable insights and support for practice at home. 1) Is Step by Step Speech Services providing therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Yes, Step by Step continues to provide virtual and in-person treatment to clients while following all provincial and CASLPO health guidelines.

2) My child can't say all their sounds correctly. Should I be concerned?

There are developmental milestones that children should achieve when they reach a certain age. A Speech-Language Pathologist can help to determine if they are on the path to developing these sounds on their own; or if they require intervention. 3) What is an SLP's role with children who have difficulty reading and writing?
